Dissolved oxygen removal from water for injection is common practice in waterflooding, Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). Traditionally, large vacuum towers and oxygen scavengers are used, but this is changing. Today’s water flooding activities require lower dissolved oxygen specifications, minimal chemical use, and optimized use of available space and weight limits.
